The company scope was to provide engineering services (FEED, Conceptual design, detailed design, Hazop, Hazip, technical study, RFQ and bids evaluation, placing PO,…..etc) for clients including procurements in some cases.  Managing a team of engineers, designers and docs controller in carrying out FEED study, cost estimation, detailed engineering including site survey team from all discipline.  Reviewing client scope of work for each WO/WI, prepare for KoM to identify the required deliverables for each discipline. Accordingly a MDL to be agreed by client.  Prepare the site team required deliverables list for site survey and re-finalize the received SSR before send to client.  Coordinate among all clients and company involved parties and ensure that engineering integrity is met by team.  Prepare the required CTR based on the SSR and deliverables list. Plans necessary actions to ensure that maintenance and repairs for all Rotating machinery and Static equipments are carried out correctly to enable the operational objectives to be met.  Provide support to maintain Equipments include rotating and static equipments (Gas Turbines, Compressors, Pumps, Pressure Vessels, Piping and Valves, Heat Exchangers, Tanks, Cranes and Lifting equipments, pipelines L&R,…etc).  Provide day to day technical support and advice to discipline engineers, operations & maintenance  Participate and implement corporate maintenance strategies for new and existing equipments.  Identifies particular problems areas and assess the effectiveness of current procedures for handling the problems promptly and efficiently. Lead five mechanical engineers working in all aspects of equipments.  Supervise and participate in the development and preparation of equipment sizing and identification of equipment specifications, selection of suitable rotating machinery and interface i.e. compressors, pumps, turbines, controls, power supply, utility requirements, environmental regulation requirements and other assessments.  Supervise the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Communicate between client and vendor to clear any concern issues.  Review the contractor design package (mechanical& piping).  Prepare new equipment data sheets and spec. Participate in basis of design stage.  Part of the failure analysis team (RCA) and equipment performance evaluation team for rotating equipment.  Improve the equipment availability by revisit the design.  Optimize the pumping system to fit the new operation envelop  Do the mechanical site survey for some urgent project.  Provide the scope of work for the new project ( mechanical)  Prepare the maintenance plane for equipments, ensure spare parts, resources are available at site on time.  Issue and raise the new service contract to cover equipment maintenance or repair by OEM or others.  Provide day to day technical support and advice to discipline engineers, operations & maintenance Inspection, Process and Project personnel regarding selection, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and long-term reliability of rotating equipment.  Specify the required mechanical parts and equipments for new project.  Provide the project team with all technical support related to mechanical activities  Prepare the new MWI for the new project equipments and modify the existing one as per the new operating conditions.  Follow OEM service bulletin and recommendation to ensure increasing the equipments life cycle.  Issue piping design packages for minor modification and review all the contractor design packages  Identify the piping components for the new project especially long lead items  Prepare the valves data sheet as per process and operation requirements.  Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phase for all mechanical activities

Review and do the piping designs for the running projects as per AFPC schedule Q & shell DEP standard and ASME B31.3 including all the pipe components (fitting, valves…) and connected equipments.  Identify the pining and pipelines components specifications and participate in the technical evaluation committee for rotating equipment spare parts and piping components (valve, flanges, fittings, L&R…etc).  Preparing the scope of work for service and maintenance contracts that will cover the required activities under the approved budget.  Update and modify the existing internal AFPC standards which are related to the piping and well head hook up.  Involved in the construction and commissioning phase of new project and provide the technical solution to the field for the outstanding.  Project team member to evaluate the projects tenders, materials, review the contractor design package, and to provide the technical solution for the construction party.  Provide the solution to the field regarding the static equipments issue (piping, tank and vessel)  New responsibility to look for the frame 6 GT (issue the required maintenance plane including combustion inspection, hot gas path inspection, major inspection) based on the actual running hours to maximise the life cycle. Responsibilities are manage and plan for the required experts from OEM and to insure the availability of materials and spare parties for the required maintenance to reduce the shut down period as much as possible and to achieve the job within the approved schedule time.  Prepare the job master for the auxiliary equipment of the gas turbine  Build and control the data base (data collection system) that help to have a historical data for our machine that in turn will ensure a good diagnose and failure analysis (RCA) for machines troubleshooting..  Now, I am working on my private (in addition to AFPC work) as the mechanical engineer for piping design to prepare and issue the ISO drawing and piping plan for construction , Bill Of Materials and specify the required materials, the project is consist of three parts:  The first one is to install a 1000m3/h –60m centrifugal pump to transfer diesel oil to a new 1500m3 tank by 16’ line size and then by three 500m3/h-60m pumps (one stand by) to the rail way loading station (18 loading 4” point with complete metering skid by movable loading arms) and another branch to Truck loading station with 10 loading 4” arms. The second part consists of a new loading truck and railway fuel station with all accessories and loading arms, 10 loading points for truck and 20 loading points for railway. The third part is to install new fuel pump to evacuate the fuel from the unloading truck station (ten unloading points) by 445m 20” line as suction and discharged by 16” line 1100m to the existing fuel tank. All the fuel lines are accompanied with main steam line for heat tracing and condensate lines.

Follow up the project after receiving the (PIR/PIN and CBP) and give the input on the pre cost estimation.  Prepare the kick off meeting for new project.  Prepare the project plan (MS project), design through construction and commissioning.  Prepare the contract strategy and Scope of Work for a new EPC.  Specify and ordered the required materials for the minor project and coordinate with the procurement to insure the delivery in time.  Control filing system for running project (soft and hard).  Organize for the HAZOP (if required) and prepare the Hazop close out report for construction and commissioning.  Preparation the risk matrix for the project to insure the safe work and quality.  Follow up the top ten ordered materials and reporting the management with progress.  Planned for the required shut down with field central planning department and area operation.  Preparation the actual VOWD against the plan.  Preparation the LEE and after the design phase, and ask for the required approval based on the management authority.  Follow up and participate in the constructions on site step by step to avoid any delay.  Participate in the commissioning phase and analyse the countered problems to find the safe solution.  Co-ordination between the involved parties to insure the job quality.  Provide day to day the technical support to the construction staff.  Verification HSE during construction on site.  Follow up out standing items.  Issue the project close out report and.  Expedite engineering invoices: Comparison between actual and planned expenditure for on going projects. Record monthly value for Projects.  Issue provisional acceptance certificates.
